Principal dancer at PNB leaving

Another principal dancer at Pacific Northwest Ballet is leaving the company. Noelani Pantastico will join Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo after the PNB season ends in June.

A native of Hawaii, Pantastico attended PNB summer courses from 1994-96 and joined the company as an apprentice in 1997. She was promoted to corps de ballet in 1998, to soloist in 2001, and to principal in 2004. "At 27," she said, "I am at a point in my career where I feel the need to spread my wings and experience another dance world." Last month, principal dancer Casey Herd announced he would be joining the Dutch National Ballet.
