The family of a David Juarez, a 41-year-old bicyclist killed last week in a hit-and-run accident, has invited biking enthusiasts to join in a procession after the funeral today.
The Newport Hills man died Saturday after an accident in which he and three other riders were struck by a car on East Valley Road in Renton.
Juarez's funeral will be held at 1 p.m. today at the St. Madeleine Sophie Catholic Church in Bellevue.
``David was committed to cycling. It was a passion with him," said Maria Juarez, his wife.
She said the Juarez family asks that bicyclists and members of the Cascade club wear biking gear and ride from the funeral with police escort to the Sunset Hills Memorial Park.
There will be a reception at the church after the procession.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the accident that caused Juarez's death.
