HIT-AND-RUN ACCIDENT KILLS BICYCLIST ON WESTLAKE

A hit-and-run accident in the 2400 block of Westlake Avenue North near Lake Union claimed the life of a woman bicyclist last night, Seattle police said.
Investigators were called to the scene of the accident, which occurred about 10:45 p.m. Police said a car struck the bicyclist and fled.
Police arrested a suspect shortly after the accident, but they could provide no more details about the accident or the victim.
Fire Department medics administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation, but the cyclist died at the scene.
