Any country that makes Havarti cheese and Carlsberg beer is already OK in our book, but now we find out they make a wonderful dishcloth, too.
The thick and thirsty RIC cloths are 100 percent cotton and have a ribbed weave that makes them super-absorbent. These aren't easy to find in the U.S., but a New York store recently became the exclusive distributor for RIC and stocks the towels in 16 vibrant colors. Get the dishcloth, which is about 10-by-15 inches, for $8, or a 12-by-20-inch kitchen towel with a loop for hanging on a hook, for $13, from lillehusonline.com. (Frances Somers)
