SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER NEWS SERVICES

SALT LAKE CITY -- The Stingers took advantage of a couple of bad-bounce infield grounders to score two runs in the first inning, and Gary Johnson hit a two-run homer in the seventh, as Salt Lake beat the Tacoma Rainiers 8-5 last night in Pacific Coast League action.

Carlos Guillen had four hits in his second rehab appearance for the Rainiers. Guillen drilled a line-drive two-run home run to right field in the fifth inning.
