Take five with ... Aaron Looper
1. What was your first car?
It was a 1976 Bonanza. The old Chevy truck with propane and everything. It was white. I called it Old Whitey. Actually it was half white and half rust. It lasted about six months and the transmission went out. I actually had to drive home from school in reverse once.

2. If you could go back and relive any five-minute period of your life, what would it be?
Probably my wedding. I enjoyed my wedding. We got married in Eureka Springs, Ark. It's pretty down there.
3. What was the craziest thing you ever did when you were courting your wife?
I bought her a gun for Christmas. That was probably the thing that shocked her the most. My friends led her on to believe she was getting an engagement ring, and I don't think she was too happy when she opened it up and it was a .38 special. I was leaving, and I just wanted her to be safe.
4. Do you really think it was a good idea to put a gun in the hands of a woman who was just denied an engagement ring?
It wasn't loaded at the time. I made sure of that.
5. What's the most painful injury you ever had?
Probably breaking my ankle in junior high, playing basketball. It hurt to walk, but once we figured out it was really broken and put a cast on it, it was better. I've been pretty lucky with injuries, knock on wood.
