Rainiers fall 7-2

NEW ORLEANS -- Mike Coolbaugh and Phil Hiatt hit two-run homers in the first inning, sending the New Orleans Zephyrs to a 7-2 victory over the Tacoma Rainiers last night in the Pacific Coast League.

Royce Huffman and Coolbaugh added RBIs in the second inning to give the Zephyrs a 6-0 lead.

Jeremy Griffiths (2-3) got the win, giving up three hits and two runs and striking out eight in seven innings. Travis Blackley (7-4) took the loss for Tacoma.
