Rainiers cooled

TACOMA -- Brandon Berger homered with one out in the ninth inning off Jeff Heaverlo as the Memphis Redbirds broke Tacoma's five-game win streak with a 3-2 victory over the Rainiers yesterday in a Pacific Coast League game at Cheney Stadium.

Tacoma's Jorge Campillo allowed two runs in seven innings in his first start since being optioned by Seattle.
