    INSIDE INFO

  • FAVORITE FAST FOOD? "The grilled chicken sandwich at McDonald's is one of my favorites."

  • THE LAST MOVIE/VIDEO YOU RENTED? "'FaceOff' with John Travolta and Nicholas Cage. It's a good movie."

  • YOUR FAVORITE OLYMPIC SPORT? "I like the downhill skiing. I ski, but I'm not that good. My kids are real good on snowboards. And my wife is a good skier."

  • WHICH OF YOUR TEAMMATES WOULD DO THE BEST ON SURVIVOR? "Ryan Franklin. I think he's a hunter."

  • HOUSEHOLD CHORE YOU ABSOLUTELY HATE? "Washing the kitchen floor. Once I get it all clean, it seems like 10 kids come in to the refrigerator and I've got to do it all over again. I'm not too fond of folding laundry, either."

  • SPORT YOU LIKE TO PLAY WHEN YOU'RE NOT PLAYING BASEBALL? "I like to play golf, even though we really have no time for it."

  • YOUR BEST BASEBALL MOMENT? "We were 13 games down to the Angels in September in 1995 and we ground it out, and wound up winning the division. Watching Edgar (Martinez) hit that double down the left-field line to beat the Yankees (in Game 5 of the AL Division Series), that still gives me goosebumps."

    QUICK HITS

  • "JEOPARDY" OR "THE WEAKEST LINK"? "'Jeopardy.' I like the game. I can answer about half of the questions."

  • INTERNET SURFING OR PLAYING COMPUTER GAMES? "That would be computer games. My kids always want me to turn them on."

  • COLLEGE HOOPS OR THE NBA? "College hoops. There's a lot of excitement there, there's teamwork and the fans are more involved."

  • "STAR TREK" OR "STAR WARS"? "I like 'Star Trek' and Captain Kirk. When I was younger, I watched him a lot; he always seemed to make the right decision."

  • CHRIS ROCK OR KID ROCK? "Neither."

  • CELL PHONE OR HOME PHONE? "Home phone. It's a lot cheaper than my cell phone."

  • U.S. OPEN GOLF OR U.S. OPEN TENNIS? "The golf. I enjoy watching the pressure shots in the big tournaments."

  • READ THE PAPER OR WATCH THE NEWS? "Both. I back up what I see on TV by reading more about it in the paper."

  • BABE RUTH OR JACKIE ROBINSON? "The Babe was a down-to-earth guy who just performed."

  • CASH OR CREDIT? "Cash. I like paying in cash; you don't have to wait for the credit card to be processed."

  • SOUP OR SALAD? "I like salad with a nice Italian dressing. I've been eating it since I was a kid."

  • DINE OUT OR TAKE OUT? "Dine out. I like to go out. It gives my wife a break from cooking. And it gives me a break from cleaning up."

  • HIGH TECH OR LOW TECH? "High tech. I just like seeing progress."
