Allen, Sonics troubled by injury
The latest concern in Sonics camp is the condition of Ray Allen's right ankle.
The shooting guard, who led the team with a 22.5 scoring average last season, didn't make the trip to Bellingham last night for a scrimmage after complaining about the ankle before Wednesday night's 110-91 preseason victory over Golden State at KeyArena. Allen took himself out of the game with two minutes remaining in the third quarter.
An MRI and CAT scan last night showed a loose body in the ankle. Allen will consult with a specialist today, after which it will be determined if surgery will be necessary.
