Poetry magazine revived after four-year rest
A four-year suspension in publication has ended for Poetry Northwest with a new issue just released.
The longtime publication from the University of Washington now is published by the Attic Writers' Workshop in Portland under the editorship of David Biespiel. The new version is much changed in contributors and format, with more poets from outside the Northwest (such notables as C.K. Williams, Robert Bly, joining Northwesterners Richard Kenney, Kevin Miller, Nance Van Winckel) as well as reviews and an interview with famed art photographer Jock Sturges, now a resident of Seattle whose work is featured on the cover.
Issues of the twice-yearly publication cost $7.95 (available at Open Books and Borders in Seattle) and $15 annually. More information: www.poetrynw.org
