Victrola Coffee Roasters sold

Victrola Coffee Roasters, an independent company with two Seattle locations, has been sold to a Whidbey Island entrepreneur.

However, the company's name will remain, said Chris Sharp, founder of Victrola.

Sharp said Monday that he and his wife, Jen Strongin, have sold the company to Dan Ollis of Whidbey's Coffee Company. Financial terms were not disclosed, and Ollis could not be reached.

Sharp said he and his wife, who want to spend more time with their young son, would stay onboard until April 30.

"We wanted to make sure everything ran smoothly," said Sharp, who named the company after an old Victrola record player.

The company has a store at 411 15th Ave. E. and another at 310 E. Pike St.
