PETA calls Seattle second-most-vegetarianfriendly

Calling Seattle a "hotbed of vegetarian goodness," PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has named Seattle the second-most-vegetarian-friendly city in the country.

We were beaten out by -- who else? -- Portland.

PETA gives Seattle kudos for Vegfest, the two-day vegetarian celebration that ended Sunday; for cool food options including Mighty-O vegan doughnuts; and for the University District, which they deem one of the "most vegetarian-friendly neighborhoods in America." You can see the list at www.goveg.com
