Get Hungry: Meet, greet and eat at Tom Douglas' Ultimate Holiday Cookbook Social

A super (and supersized) chance to meet local chefs and cookbook authors comes Dec. 3 at Tom Douglas' Ultimate Holiday Cookbook Social in the Palace Ballroom, 2100 Fifth Ave.

Twenty bucks buys a chance to socialize, taste the dishes each chef will prepare, and get cookbooks signed. A single glass of wine is included in the deal; there also will be a cash bar.

The event will have about 20 participants, including a range of authors, chefs and personalities, from marquee names to lesser-known but noteworthy newcomers.

Participants include Thierry Rautureau of Rover's, Fran Bigelow of Fran's Chocolates, Leslie Mackie of Macrina, Kathy Casey of Dish D'Lish, Sharon Kramis and Julie Kramis-Hearne, authors of "The Cast Iron Skillet Cookbook," and Dolly Watts, author of "Where People Feast: An Indigenous People's Cookbook."
