Edible gold leaf really adds luster to food and drinks, but it's expensive -- it is gold, after all.
Serves: 1
1/2 ounce orange-flavored vodka
1 ounce orange liqueur or Triple Sec
1/2 ounce sake
Edible gold leaf (see note)
Orange wedge
Ice cubes
Place a handful of the gold leaf flakes in a small bowl or saucer. Run the orange wedge along the rim of chilled martini glass. Roll the rim in the glass in the gold leaf flakes.
Pour the vodka, Triple Sec and sake into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Shake for 10 seconds, strain and pour into the chilled martini glass.
Note: Edible gold leaf can be found online at various sites such as goldleafcompany.com and ediblegold.com.
