Still feel as if Ken Griffey Jr. is one of Seattle's own? His family foundation is betting on it, teaming up with Charity Wines for a Griffey celebrity vintage featuring him in "earlier playing days" of Mariners blue.
All proceeds will go to the Ken Griffey Jr. Family Foundation, which benefits the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, among others. The cabernet, bottled by Selby Winery in California, is expected to retail for $13 and will be available in May. A "premium" cabernet named "Junior 600" is planned for when Griffey breaks the 600-home run barrier (he needs seven more homers). Cincinnati fans won't be left out. They get their own Junior wine with Griffey dressed in Reds livery.
