- Deer hunting
seasons are winding down, with good hunting reported last weekend for whitetails in northwest Washington, mule deer in southeast Washington and blacktail deer in southwest Washington. It's been slow-to-fair elsewhere. Tomorrow is the last day for Western Washington areas. The late buck season on the westside is Nov. 19-22. - Duck hunting
has been good in most places, although fewer birds are around than most years on the northern estuaries of Western Washington and the Columbia Basin. Good hunting has been reported any windy day on the coastal estuaries such as Willapa Bay and Grays Harbor, as well as parts of southwest Washington. - Upland bird hunting -- pheasants, chukar and partridge -- remains good in southeast Washington, and fair in the Yakima and Columbia Basin regions.
