Kayaking on the Snohomish Delta: City of Lynnwood Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department presents a kayak trip on the Snohomish River to the Ebey, Steamboat and Union sloughs, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Must be 10 or older. $85; $75 residents. Register: 425-771-4030.
TrailsFest 2003: Kids of all ages and abilities are welcome to enjoy hiking, biking, wagon rides, kayaking, rock climbing, storytelling and Sasquatch tracking at Washington Trails Association's TrailsFest 2003, 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., at Rattlesnake Lake, North Bend. Rattlesnake Ledge hike: Issaquah Alps Trails Club hosts a five-mile (round trip) hike to Rattlesnake Ledges outside North Bend. Elevation gain of 1,400 feet. Meet at 8:30 a.m., Issaquah Trails Center at corner of First and Bush streets. Equipment required: hiking shoes, food, water, warm clothes, daypack and rain gear. Single Track Mind Cycling Club: Tahuya Poker Run: Start/finish at Tahuya River Campground, Tahuya State Forest, Belfair. Includes a 10-mile short course, 18-mile course through wooded trails, lush forest and streams, and a specially marked kids course. Entry fees: $20, $30 families.
