Shameless: A new breed of women's magazine
Tired of women's magazines with stick-thin women plastered all over them, promoting only sex and the latest superficial trends? Well, then you need to get Shameless, reports Scripps Howard News Service.
It's a magazine for freethinkers, feminists, intellectuals, queer youth and activists. Co-publishers and co-editors Nicole Cohen and Melinda Mattos were sick and tired of the same old shallow and materialistic mainstream teen media. There are no glossy pages and sex-filled ads; just real girls talking about real issues, ranging from the heartbreaking effects of globalization on women to sexual double standards to profiles of inspiring young females.
This mag has everything -- advice, politics, art, fun DIY projects, a witty Newsflash section and much more. For more info and how to subscribe, go to www.shamelessmag.com
