Buy a T-shirt and "Save Martha!"
Saturday, July 20, 2002
Martha Stewart has spent two decades developing books, paints, linens and lamps that bear her name. But it took someone else, and a government inquiry into her sale of ImClone Systems shares, to come up with beach hats, coolers, T-shirts and tank tops imprinted with "Save Martha!"
They are for sale on savemartha.com, a Web site established after Stewart made financial inquiry headlines. Also on the Web site are discussion areas for people who want to vent about media coverage that Stewart, a media mogul herself, has been receiving.
The site's owner, John Small, clearly supports her. "Fans of Martha need a place to come and voice their opinions and concerns," he said. The beach hats, meanwhile, have been marked down.
