Motorcyclist dies in morning accident

By SCOTT GUTIERREZ
P-I REPORTER

A motorcyclist died Tuesday after colliding with a dump truck on East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast, just north of Interstate 90, Issaquah police reported.

The 44-year-old Seattle man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A dump truck was turning from 229th Avenue Southeast at about 7:40 a.m. when the motorcycle driver collided with it. A signal controls the intersection and police were investigating what caused the crash, Issaquah police Cmdr. Stan Conrad said.

Police closed off access to 229th Avenue, which leads to a nearby concrete plant, and reduced traffic to one lane in each direction on East Lake Sammamish Parkway for the investigation, he said.
