Jogger dies in Renton crash
A 37-year-old jogger died Saturday after a car struck him in the 900 block of Duvall Avenue Northeast, Renton police reported.
The victim was jogging along the northbound lanes when the southbound car drifted across four lanes of traffic and hit him from behind. The car then crashed down an embankment, injuring the 34-year-old driver, police said. Police were called about 12:45 p.m.
The jogger died at Harborview Medical Center. The driver, of Kent, was treated for minor injuries at Valley Medical Center. The victims' names were not yet disclosed.
