(Editor's Note: An earlier version of this article misreported which high school would share a joint campus with Denny Middle School.)
The Seattle School Board is expected to decide Feb. 27 whether to change its controversial plans to build a joint middle school/high school campus in West Seattle.
The project, which would use $125 million to create a new Denny Middle School on the same campus as Chief Sealth High School, has drawn intense community opposition in recent weeks.
The School Board has been examining other options for the project, including adding $5 million to $10 million to the budget for extra upgrades to Sealth. The district's facilities department has said it would be very costly to rebuild Denny at its current location and upgrade Sealth, as some opponents have suggested.
The district will hold a community forum on the topic Feb. 4 at Chief Sealth High School.
