A truck rolled off of the road near the Alaskan Way Viaduct and flipped onto railroad tracks Wednesday morning, authorities said.
The green sports-utility vehicle was headed southbound towards the West Seattle Bridge on-ramp when it flipped at 9:23 a.m., Seattle Police Spokesman Mark Jamieson said. The truck slid off the road, hit a guardrail and landed on adjacent railroad tracks.
Jamieson said the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway was notified of the intruding vehicle. There were no serious injuries in the accident.
One lane on the viaduct was closed until a tow truck cleared the accident at about 10:40 a.m. Police are still investigating what caused the SUV to flip.
