By KATHY MULADY
P-I REPORTER

A man was hit by a car and seriously injured while walking in a marked crosswalk at West Nickerson and West Dravus streets at 6:40 am. Monday, Seattle Police reported.

Police spokesman Mark Jamieson said the man apparently suffered life threatening injuries and was transported to a Harborview Medical Center by the Seattle Fire Department.

Jamieson said the intersection was closed for a couple of hours while the accident was investigated.

The vehicle was traveling westbound on Nickerson when it struck the man.
