A 21-year-old pedestrian died Sunday morning after a semi-truck hit him on Interstate 405 in Bellevue, the Washington State Patrol reported.
The accident occurred just after 3:20 a.m. at the intersection of Southeast Eighth Street, the agency said in a collision memo.
The pedestrian, a Bellevue man, apparently crossed a barrier into southbound lanes of traffic.
A 31-year-old Spanaway man driving the truck hit him.
It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the accident, the State Patrol reported.
