Man killed, another injured in Federal Way head-on crash

By LEVI PULKKINEN
P-I REPORTER

One man was killed and another seriously injured in a head-on collision Thursday evening in Federal Way.

The driver of a small car, a man in his 20s, was flown to Harborview Medical Center after his car crashed head-on into an oncoming van in the 32100 block of Hoyt Road Southwest, a Federal Way police spokeswoman said.

The car's only passenger, a man thought to be in his 20s, was killed in the crash.

A woman and two children in the van were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Witnesses told investigators the car carrying the two men had been driving erratically prior to the crash. A Federal Way police traffic investigation team was on the scene Thursday night.
