Detectives have identified four teenagers who witnessed a fight in which a 16-year-old Auburn boy was stabbed following a weekend house party in Kent, the King County Sheriff's Office reported Monday.
Police had not arrested the boys, two age 17, and two age 14, but were looking to question them about the slaying of Jaspreet Atwal. Detectives were probing what prompted the fight in which a 16-year-old boy also was hurt about 1 a.m. Saturday at a dead-end street near Park Orchard Elementary.
The victims were hanging out with another male teen, 14, after the three left a party in Kent near Southeast 227th Place and 133rd Avenue Northeast that ended when neighbors complained about the noise. The two boys were stabbed after one boy in the group started arguing with another group of four teens, the Sheriff's Office reported.
Atwal's slaying does not appear to be gang-related or racially motivated, the Sheriff's Office reported.
