Two women were wounded early Thursday in a drive-by shooting in South Seattle, police reported.
Police arrested three suspects in a vehicle nearby and recovered a handgun. The shooting was reported about 3 a.m. in the 1000 block of South Henderson Street, police spokeswoman Renee Witt said.
Both women, in their 20s, were standing in front of a house when they were shot. One woman was wounded in the foot. The second woman was struck in the lung and leg. Both were taken to Harborview Medical Center, Witt said.
Police were already in the neighborhood investigating reports of a fight when the gunfire started. Police were uncertain about the motive behind the shooting, Witt said.
