The high-tech toilets that washed out in Seattle are back on sale on eBay.
There were no offers last month when the starting bid for each of the five restrooms was $89,000 each. This time they are priced to move, and bids Friday were around $1,000. The final amount will be determined next week when the auction closes.
The city council voted to sell the toilets because they attracted prostitutes and drug users.
Four years ago the city spent $5 million on the self-cleaning, stand-alone toilets and put most of them in parks. Officials hoped they would be used by tourists, shoppers and the homeless.
