A Kent radiologic technician's license has been suspended pending a hearing on accusations that he inappropriately touched two minor girls who were patients, the state Health Department said Wednesday.
The Health Department immediately suspended the license of Jang Bahadur Singh prohibiting him from practicing pending the outcome of a hearing. Singh has 20 days to answer the charges and the right to request a hearing.
"The respondent is alleged to have abused a position of trust and to have violated patient/practitioner boundaries by engaging in sexualized contact with minor patients," health law judge John F. Kuntz wrote Aug. 29 in an order of summary action.
According to Health Department documents, in one case from April 22, 2005, Singh put his hand on a minor's bottom "and rubbed her bottom while positioning her against a wall for an X-ray of her shoulder."
In the second case, from July 12, 2008, involving an X-ray of another girl's foot, Singh is accused of touching the girl's breast with his hand and leaving it there for several second and positioning her on the X-ray table so that her legs were spread and touching her crotch with his elbow several times, the documents say.
