Tacoma court hearing for Semaj, troubled runaway

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

TACOMA -- A hearing in Pierce County Juvenile Court will determine whether 11-year-old Semaj Booker knew it was wrong to break into a Tacoma apartment in July.

The judge's decision from the hearing that began Wednesday will determine whether Semaj faces a burglary charge.

He made headlines in 2007 when he talked his way onto two airline flights and flew alone to San Antonio. He tried it again in May but was stopped at Sea-Tac Airport.

He's on probation for also stealing a car in 2007 when he was 9.
