'Shrek 2' comes to DVD on Nov. 5

"Shrek 2," the top-grossing movie of the year, comes to DVD and VHS on Nov. 5.

The DreamWorks' animated hit, featuring the voices of Eddie Murphy, Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Julie Andrews, John Cleese and Antonio Banderas, became the third highest grossing film ever when it took in $439 million at the North American box office.

The "Shrek 2" DVD extras will include "Far, Far Away Idol," an animated spoof in which viewers get to vote as the film's characters compete in a singers' showdown, with Shrek, Fiona and Simon Cowell as the judging panel; technical goofs; a pair of filmmakers' commentaries and featurettes on Puss in Boots, the cast, the tech and the music.
