The Everett Interurban was built from Seattle to Everett in 1910. The Seattle-Everett Traction Co. built the tracks and cars for it and for lines all over the country. This streetcar traveled to a smelter on the northeast end of Everett around 1910.


Around 1910, an owner showed off his carriage-pulling dog team to a crowd gathered outside Robbins Transfer Co.


A contingent of Saturday Evening Post salesboys, with their well-marked carrying sacks, delivered the publication door-to-door in the growing community of Everett around 1910.


A dock on the Snohomish River greeted early settlers to Everett around 1892. Boats delivered passengers and goods after a five-hour trip from Tacoma. Around 1915, downtown Everett -- shown here looking west on Hewitt Street at Broadway Avenue -- was a boomtown.


In the 1890s, the Skandinavisk Store at Everett Avenue and Summit Street supplied goods to Snohomish County Scandinavian immigrants. Deliveries were made with horse-drawn wagon.
