This photo provides a glimpse of the rugged conditions in a turn-of-the-century logging operation in the Marysville area. The community was founded by James Comeford, who arrived in 1872.

The construction of Interstate 5 in the 1960s created quicker access to Marysville. The city is about 10 miles north of Boeing's Everett plant.

In the 1920s, traffic jams the intersection at Third and Junction in Marysville. Some things apparently never change: Traffic congestion is a top concern for the community today.
