  • Greenwood Garage Sale Day is a bargain-hunter's paradise. Between 80 and 100 Phinney Ridge and Greenwood residents empty their basements and closets April 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Maps available at the Phinney Neighborhood Center, 6532 Phinney Ave. N.

  • Phinney Ridge Home Tour opens eight homes to self-guided tour. This year's tour is June 8 from noon to 5 p.m. Tickets are $10, $8 for Phinney Neighborhood Association members. Maps and tickets will be available at the Phinney Neighborhood Center. Van service will be offered for those who need a lift. Information: 783-2244.

  • Well Home Consultations are available to Seattle residents who have questions about home improvement projects or need an unbiased, expert opinion on home repairs. Cost is $50 an hour. Information: Roger Faris at the Well Home Program, 789-4993.

  • Phinney Ridge Concert Series is an ongoing series from 8-10 p.m. at Phinney Neighborhood Center, 6532 Phinney Ave. N. Next up: The jazz trio Life Signs on April 18 and songwriter Carolyn Currie on May 16. Wine, coffee and treats are available. Admission is $7, $5 for Phinney Neighborhood Association members.

  • Carmelita, 7314 Greenwood Ave. N., is one of Phinney Ridge's newest restaurants. Owners Kathryn Neumann and Michael Hughes serve savory vegetarian dinner entrees and appetizers complemented by a nice selection of wines. A tip: Arrive early. Information: 706-7703.
