  • Cedar River Brewing Co. offers free public tours of its craft beer brewing room at 2, 4 and 6 p.m. Sundays. New and inviting, the brew pub offers an interesting lesson in small-scale beer making. Located at 201 Williams Ave. S. Info: 254-8155.

  • Renton Historical Museum offers a fine collection of photographs, artifacts, memorabilia and displays. The museum is located in a former fire station across from City Hall. The gift shop sells books, tote bags, note cards and more. Hours: Tuesdays, 9-4 p.m.; Wednesday through Sunday 1-4 p.m., and by appointment. Located at 235 Mill Ave. S. Info: 255-2330.

  • Sweet Spirit Candles opens its second-floor workshop to the public on Fridays for an evening of education in the art of candle-making. $5 cover. By mixing scents and crystal gemstones, owners Kim and Greg Sweet create unique candles. Located at 236 Wells Ave. S. Info: 271-9001.
