Richmond Beach
Things to do

  • Richmond Beach Foods, 2002 N.W. Richmond Beach Road, 546-1944. You'll find a little of everything here, from groceries to arts and crafts. It's the perfect place to get a feel for the neighborhood and linger over a cup of coffee, particularly in the morning when the pastries are fresh and the whole place smells like a bakery.

  • Saltwater Park, at 20th Avenue Northwest and Northwest 190th Street, is the community's only public shoreline, with a wide sandy beach and a bluff trail that offers one of the most spectacular views around.

  • Spin Alley, 1430 N.W. Richmond Beach Road, 533-2345, replaces the old Arden Lanes. The new non-smoking bowling alley has 16 lanes and offers cutting-edge technology and cosmic bowling.

  • MsK Rare Plant Nursery, 20312 15th Ave. N.W., 546-1281, has more than 2,000 native, rare and exotic plants grown from seed by Mareen and Arthur Kruckeberg. By appointment only.
