Pete Mortenson and his wife, Margaret, settled in this house in 1978, soon after he retired from the Navy. Now they must sell it to the Port of Seattle, which will demolish it for a new runway. The Mortensons' half-acre property includes a two-car garage and a second, smaller house as well, and Pete Mortenson says that the port's offer of $170,000 is "really insulting."
