The Seward Park Art Studio is another park tenant and neighborhood amenity. The ceramic arts studio is tucked inside the park's 1927 bathhouse, which was built for swimmers during a more modest era.

Inside are potter's wheels, kilns and the work of professionals as well as some just-getting-start pots and tiles.

The studio is a second home to some 18 professional or semi-professional artists, says Director Jaki Reed. Like the neighborhood, not everyone in Seattle is aware of the studio and that it offers classes for people of all abilities, Reed says.
