Seward Park
Things to do while you're here

If you're visiting, check out these spots:

  • Martha Washington Park, 6600 57th Ave. S., is not on many maps mainly because it has not been developed. What it offers is seclusion and access to Lake Washington. The former school site was purchased by the city's Parks Department in 1972 and remains largely unused. A pocket beach was built and some landscaping work is planned as part of a neighborhood matching-fund project.

  • Guided woods walks at Seward Park, lasting 90 minutes, are free and open to all ages. Call the Seattle Parks Department for schedule and to pre-register: 206-684-7434.

  • Guided bird walks at Seward Park are offered the second Saturday of the month, and also are free and open to all. Info and schedule: 206-684-7434.
