Molbak's, 13625 N.E. 175th St., is the place for plants, flowers, garden and kitchen gadgets and patio furniture. 425-483-5000. Open Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Wineries abound, including:
- Chateau Ste. Michelle, 14111 N.E. 145th St., with tours/tastings, gardens, retail shop, picnic area, summer outdoor concerts, classes and other events. Open daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 425-488-3300.
- Columbia Winery, 14030 N.E. 145th St., with tours/tastings, patio picnic area, retail shop. The Spirit of Washington dinner train comes here from Renton. 425-488-2776 or 1-800-488-2347. Tastings daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; tours Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Facelli Winery, 16120 Woodinville-Redmond Road N.E. No. 1. Public tastings (no tours), Saturday and Sunday noon to 4 p.m. 425-488-1020.
- Silver Lake Sparkling Cellars, 17721 132nd N.E. Tasting room open noon to 5 p.m. 7 days a week; picnic grounds, gift shop. 425-486-1900.
Redhook Brewery, 14300 N.E. 145th, offers tastings and tours, and a pub with outside and inside eating areas. Open Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to midnight; Sunday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Kitchen closes at 9 p.m. all days except Sunday (8 p.m.) in summer. 425-483-3232.Cottage Lake is a popular King County park. In addition to the lake, a swimming pool is open in the summer. 18831 N.E. Woodinville-Duvall Road. Or check out Gold Creek County Park, 16020 148th Ave. N.E. Hollywood Hill Saddle Club, 15205 N.E. 172nd St., is a 20-year-old non-profit group featuring monthly Western Games (barrel racing, jumping and horsemanship) and English horse shows in summer.
