Downtown & Nearby An electic array of neighborhoods border downtown Seattle, including historic Pioneer Square, post-industrial Sodo, residential Magnolia and Lower Queen Anne, which lies in the shadow of the Space Needle, and Queen Anne Hill, which looms above it. Downtown itself includes several neighborhoods with distinct identities, including Belltown, center of the city's club scene, and the microcosm of the Pike Place Market.
