RECORDS: The Sounders lead the USL First Division with a record of 14-5-6 (48 points). Minnesota is 11th in the 12-team league at 3-10-11 (20 points).
NOTES: This is the second game of the year between Seattle and Minnesota. They battled to a 2-2 tie at Qwest Field on Aug. 11. They will meet once more in Minnesota in the season finale Sept. 9. ... The Sounders are unbeaten in their past 11 league games (9-0-2) dating to June 23. Minnesota is winless in its past 10 games (0-4-6). ... Sebastien Le Toux (back) and Josh Gardner (ankle) are questionable and Danny Jackson (back) and Kenji Treschuk (ankle) are probable for Friday night's game. ...
Brian Farber leads the Thunder with six goals. Le Toux and Roger Levesque lead the Sounders with seven goals each. ... Sounders goalkeeper Chris Eylander has six shutouts in his past seven games, allowing goals only to Minnesota in that stretch. He leads the league with 12 clean sheets this season. ... The Sounders next home game is Tuesday at Qwest Field in the semifinals of the US Open Cup against FC Dallas of the MLS. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.
