Ashanti's Christmas album brings out her sweet side
Trust a Christmas album to bring out the sweetness in Murder Inc.'s main gal. These 10 songs include Ashanti originals, American standards and traditional Christmas songs.

The light grooves are perfect for Ashanti's modestly sincere vocals. On "The Christmas Song" and "Silent Night," she projects the warmth and coziness of a wreath-lined fireplace.
Of the three songs on which she is given writing credit, "Time of Year" ranks with the best of her recorded work.
