New Pearl Jam single due Sept. 17

"I Am Mine," the first single from Pearl Jam's upcoming album, will be released to radio stations Sept. 17. The release date for the new album, which still doesn't have a title, has been moved up to Nov. 12.

The album, originally due Nov. 19, will be released on Epic Records, Pearl Jam's long-standing label.

Lead singer Ed Vedder made a couple of surprise appearances last month, performing with Neil Finn July 9 at The Showbox and with C Average and Tim Brown (as the Low Numbers) for a tribute to the Who and the late John Entwistle July 11 at Chop Suey. The latter show was opened by the How.
