RECORDS: The Sounders are fourth in the USL First Division at 4-2-7 (19 points). Carolina is tied for fifth at 4-4-5 (17 points).
NOTES: Thursday is the Sounders' second game in three nights, starting a string of six games over 13 days. ... This is the second meeting of the season between Seattle and Carolina. The RailHawks won the previous matchup 2-1 on May 28, capitalizing on a Noah Merl own-goal for the game-winner. The Sounders have not lost since that match, going 5-0-4 in the process, with only one of the wins coming in USL play. ... F Sebastien Le Toux leads the Sounders with five regular-season goals. He has also added five U.S. Open Cup goals and two more in an exhibition game against Juventus Primavera. ... Carolina has three players with two goals each: F Daniel Antoniuk, F Connally Edozien and M Martin Nunez.
