On the road
It sometimes seems like everyone in Seattle is in a band, but few of these unknown bands tour. In September, Ken Smith and his band The Degrees took off from Seattle to San Diego for a nine-day, six-city West Coast tour. He shares a slice of the tour with photos, interviews and a three-part podcast.

Tips on touring
How to plan your tour, books shows, promote your band, and, of course, get people to actually show up. (Oct. 7, 2005)
