Male and female bodies take center stage at 2 local theaters
Theater Schmeater premieres "John Lennon's Gargoyle," by the prolific Olympia playwright Bryan Willis, starting on Thursday. It deals with the relationship tribulations of a young man named Frank.

The human body, male and female divisions, is the topic of two shows opening on Thursday.
On the women's side is "bodyBODY: Aphrodite Raves," Vanessa McGrady's multimedia exploration of the physical realities and the emotional anxieties attendant upon living in a female body. Australian performers Simon Morley and David Friend explore the non-sexual possibilities of their sex organs in "Puppetry of the Penis."
